Cowpower is a local renewable energy supplier that provides BC businesses, homes and events with renewable electricity from BC Farms. By choosing Cowpower you can reduce your business, home or event’s environmental impact, advance local renewable energy production and support sustainable local farming. Businesses are also eligible to earn LEED points.
How does Cowpower work?
Want to produce your own renewable electricity but can't? No problem. Let Cowpower Farms produce renewable electricity to match the electricity your business, home or event uses. It’s a form of electricity offsetting that allows you to feel good about your business, home or event’s electricity use.
The cost to be Cowpowered with renewable energy from Cowpower Farms depends upon your own electricity consumption. Cowpower payments are made separately and in addition to utility service payments (e.g. BC Hydro). Average Cowpower costs are less than $4/day for businesses, $0.5/day for homes and $20 for events.
